Tribes: Vengeance may look like a knock off of Unreal Tournament 2004, but it isn't. The original Tribes games combined vehicles and the first person shooter in late 99. Tribes: Vengeance is the third shot at rising to the top of the mega-hit FPS mountain. Tribes is based off of the Starsiege licence of games -- somewhat similar to Battletech and Mechwarrior. The original Tribes games are now available for free download. Despite their lack of huge success the Tribes games became cult hits. It is very likely that Tribes: Vengeance will achieve this same status.
