Gothic II is an action oriented role playing game. Despite the games faults, at its core it provides an excellant gaming experience. If you are a fan of older computer role playing games, you should have no problem with Gothic II. If you are turned off by high learning curves and prefer flashy graphics over substance, you'll do best avoiding Gothic II.
