EA issued a press release announcing a deal with Gracie Films and The Simpsons writers to produce The Simpsons games for “next gen consoles” (which probably means PS3 and Xbox360.) No further details were released other than that this game will be produced by EA’s Redwood Shores Studio, which did The Sims.

Like jumbo packs of games? EA has announced Command and Conquer: The First Decade. This pack includes 12 C&C RTS beginning with the original and ending with the most recent C&C expansion pack. Too bad its coming out in February of next year, this souds like an amazing Christmas present.

New Lord of the Rings Online screenshots have been released on the game’s official website. According to the released info, you can only play the good guys in this MMORPG. Sounds boring to me, but we’ll see when it is released.

The Burning Crusade adds two new races, the magical Blood Elves, A new Outland continent, boosts the EXP cap up to 70, adds flying mounts, hundreds of new monsters, bosses, items, and quests.

The World of Warcraft MMORPG with now 4 million players single-handedly produced an 88 percent increase in Vivendi Universal game’s revenue this year. This expansion pack is sure to make it to the top 10.

Electronic Arts has released a new 007 Bond game for Xbox and PS2, From Russia With Love, based on the 1962 Bond film starring Sean Connery. Is it a must play? Gamespot gave it a 7 out of 10. If you are a 007 fan, you’ll be dissapointed to. The film plot is butchered, among other things. This game won’t be seeing the PC either.

After seeing a 300lb+ woman with a gigantic gap between her front teeth go absolutely nuts on Fox’s wife swap show, Trading Spouses, I can’t but help to wonder if she would be a perfect match for anti-game crusader attorney Jack Thompson. Despite dramatic differences in weight its clear that they are the same page of mentally instability.

Thompson has compared the head of the ESA to Hitler, accused Penny Arcade of extortion, claimed the Sims 2 contains full frontal nudity, offered $10,000 for the first person to make a game that involves killing a game publisher (which he quickly claimed was a joke as soon as a mod for GTA: San Andreas was released depicting just that), and been a very big cry baby in general. I think this kind of behavior would fit right in line with Marguerite’s self-induced dry heaving after smelling imaginary odors.

The sequel to Star Wars Battlefront has been released. Battlefront II adds new gaming elements to the Star Wars first person shooter. These include space battles and lots of new levels. Think of this game as Battlefield: 1947 (or Battlefield 2) in a galaxy far far away.. I thought the first was average. It looked amazing, but the gameplay felt very unrefined.

Xbox 360

Its no secret — getting ahold of an Xbox 360 is not going to be easy. Most stores, including WalMart and Target are getting 10 - 50 each for release day — Tuesday, November 22nd. Good luck getting ahold of one of these.

update: reports are leaking thatMicrosoft is intentionally trying to ensure that the first shipment of Xbox 360s completely sells out (duh!) Its a great way for Microsoft to increase the buzz surrounding their new system — a technique which has proven to have worked well in the past

1up.com has released new screenshots for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. The screenshots appear to show both first person, tactical, and cinematic views.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is Ghost Recon 3. For the PC, this will actually be #2, because Ghost Recon 2 was only released on console.
