A new game profile has finally been added, Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, the latest first person role playing game from Bethsaida. This game looks great and kicks tons of ass.

Medieval 2: Total War announced

Did you think Rome: Total War marked the end of the Medieval franchise? Not quite, this month Medieval 2: Total War was announced. The game has all the great 3D graphics of Rome plus the classic fighting units of the classic middle ages. The game was just announced so unfortunately it probably be a while before we see this tactical real time strategy game hit store shelves.

Warhammer Online Screenshots Released

IGN has posted pics from the upcoming Warhammer Online game which show Dward and Orc races. It looks alright, but its questionable just how exactly they will stand up to established giants like World of Warcraft. The truth is the screenshots don’t really give the feeling of anything special about this game. As much as I love Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, I suspect their MMORPG will flop.

LA Ferrari Enzo crashed by ex-Gizmondo executive

The driver of a Ferrari Enzo that crashed into a pole at speeds believed to be over 100 miles an hour was a formor executive of failed handheld game company, Gizmondo. The Swedish man, Stefan Eriksson crashed the car in the early morning hours, fleeing the scene where the $1 million dollar super-exotic Ferrari was split in two. It is believed that Eriksson was street racing a black Mercedes SLR at the time of the accident. Eriksson claimed that he wasn’t driving his Enzo at the time of the crash, and in fact, a man who he only knew by his first name was. Even more mysterious, the Enzo was liscenced and registered in Britain, which means it should not have been on Californian streets.

Dungeons & Dragons Online Stormreach goes gold

Yet another MMORPG is about to hit the shelves — Dungeons and Dragons Online. Unlike other online role playing games, DND Online is heavily action-oriented. For example, you can actively dodge arrows that archers send your way. Preorders get exclusive access to the “head start” and beta. Unfortunately, as of earlier today we were unable to access the sign to sign up for our account to do this because it was down.

Counter-Strike Source Militia released

After a long wait, cs_militia was finally released. This remake of the original CounterStrike classic features High Dynamic Range lighting and revamped graphics. If you were a big fan of the original be sure to check this cool new map out — but be sure you have a fast video card!

FarCry on Xbox 360

Ubisoft announced that they would be releasing Far Cry Instincts: Predator for the Xbox 360 and Far Cry Instincts: Next Chapter (working title) for the original Xbox. It’s scheduled to hit shelves spring time. I’m excited to hear of a release of FarCry to the Xbox 360. I really enjoyed playing the original on PC, hopefully its predecessors will be just as fun.

Half-Life 2 In 64-Bit

Yes, that’s right. Half-Life 2 and The Lost Coast are now available in 64-bit for those with 64-bit processors. The best part about it is STEAM will automatically detect your processor settings and and run the appropriate version for you.

“Bringing the Source technology to the AMD64 processor platform is an important step in the evolution of our game content and tools,” said Gabe Newell, Valve’s co-founder and president. “This investment in future processing will allow us, and third party developers working with Source, to push the boundaries of the gaming experience.”

I can’t wait to see what happens with CounterStrike. Hopefully, that will be updated as well into 64-bit as well.

18,000 World of Warcraft Accounts Banned

Blizzard announced that they’ve banned 18,000 World of Warcraft accounts.

A majority of these accounts were found to be using third-party programs to farm gold and items. Such actions can severely impact the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players.

Obviously the users of the banned accounts didn’t know about hiring people from China to farm gold and items for you at only $250 USD a month.

Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2 Trailer

Worthplaying.com has posted new screenshots and a trailer from the upcoming Lord of the Rings real time strategy game Battle for Middle Earth 2. Among the additions are three new races including Elves, Dwarves, and Goblins. It also appears that you will be able to command navel units.

Another feature that sticks out is “Build anywhere.” In the first Battle for Middle Earth RTS you were stuck with building your bases in preset locations. It was a pain in the ass and fealt quite restrictive for experienced games who have been used to building their bases wherever they fealt like.

With all new content from J.R.R. Tolkien’s original fiction, delve deeper than ever before and engage in new battles that go beyond the award-winning movie trilogy. Wage war in the North and assume command of the most storied civilizations in all of Middle-earth history – the Elven and Dwarven armies – or fight on the side of Evil with heroes and creatures that have never been seen in The Lord of the Rings films.
